Diversos medios digitales internacionales, mayoritariamente de EEUU, así como de Grecia, Chipre, Reino Unido e India, se ha hecho eco del trabajo de un equipo de científicos de las universidades de Granada y Cambridge y la Generalitat de Catalunya que ha identificado las piezas más antiguas de ámbar báltico de la Península Ibérica, demostrando que este material de lujo empleado en joyería y artesanía de todo el mundo ya se importaba hace más de 5.000 años.
