Essential analytical processes to know, and treat waters, solid waste and air pollution and such are showed in the book “Analytical Techniques in Environmental Engineering Control”; Professors Miguel Ángel Gómez Nieto and Ernesto Hontoria García, from the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Granada, are responsible for the edition.
The volume, about 300 pages long, is an essential guide –not only for professionals and specialists, but also for students and anyone interested in such techniques– of standarized methods in analytical techniques of environmental control. In seven chapters, the book refers to the analytical control of water supply and sewage treatment, sewage recycling, mud and solid waste analysis, noise measures and air pollution assesment.
According to the authors of this book, published by the Publishing House of the University of Granada, “the human being can daily breath nearly 18 kilos of air, fron which he takes oxygen and stores carbon dioxide. This way, air pollutants are collected acting as a filter; this phenomenon reflects the importance of breathable air quality. Such direct effects in health are not the only to be considered, as there are more important aspects such as fumes and aerosols influence in atmospherical physical properties” Professors Miguel Ángel Gómez Nieto and Ernesto Hontoria García indicate that “phenomenons like greenhouse effect, destruction of the ozone layer, smog, etc., will also affect public health, an indirect effect of pollutants in the human being.”
