Create a document in a computer format to facilitate detailed information on the core subject to all the interested parties (students, school supervisors and directors, tutors), and which means a first contact with classroom reality to the future teacher is one of the objectives of the teaching innovation project titled “Innovation in the Prácticum-MII of Physical Education speciality: design and preparation of support material in a CD-ROM format”, has been approved by the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching Planning, Quality and Evaluation, after the proposal propuesta coordinated by lecturer Cipriano Romero Cerezo and developed by lecturers of the University of Granada Juan Torres Guerrero, María del Mar Ortiz, Mar Cepero and Antonio Chacón.
The project also aspires to spread interest and the need of carrying out quality teaching practice as well as its incidence in teacher training among the different levels of the education community. It also aims to verify the efficiency of different methodologies and groupings in Physical education classes.
According to the persons in charge of the teaching innovation project, “one of the main problems of the university system to contribute to student´s education is the lack of a system that controls the relationship, collaboration and participation among schools (the companies where students carry out their work) and the faculties that provide them with knowledge. In this sense, it is necessary to look for means that favour dialogue, participation and cooperation among the different interested parties both in its planning and its carryng out. A good coordination between the faculties and schools, among supervisors, tutors, coordinators and students would also be desirable to favour good conditions for the development of this formative experience. Improving communication among all the interested parties will make action decission taking and prácticum plan realization more flexible”.
This document is aimed at the student body of the Physical education speciality, the teaching staff of the Area of Didactics of the Self-Expression through Movement that supervises these practices and public, private and state assisted schools that receive students of the Faculty of Education Sciences through the practice plan. The persons in charge of the project assert that this information “could be useful for school directors, specialist teachers, student parents and, in general, for all the members of the education community.
According to the authors of this teaching innovation project, they have tried to: “improve design by using a tool that helps to solve some usual problems. That is way we thought of questions around its carrying out, preparation, organization and development”.
