The Universidad de Granada publishes a Clinical Pharmacy guide conceived as an instrument to help students

Professors Visitación Gallardo Lara and María Adolfina Ruiz Martínez, from the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology of the University of Granada, are the authors of “A manual of Introduction to Clinical Pharmacy”, published by the Publishing House of the University of Granada. The authors, who quote Newton to point out that “What we know is a drop of water; what we ignore is the ocean”, refer to the book as a guide “prepared to be a help for Pharmacy students, as there are few guides available since this course is part of the Pharmacy degree.”

The work is divided into 28 chapters which take up 260 pages; it includes themes like health education, medicines information and selection, pharmacoepidemiology, clinical trials, clinical pharmacokinetics, medicines-related problems or parenteral nutrition. The authors say that “even if we admit beforehand possible gaps or mistakes, we believe that it can be a useful and faithful help for Pharmacy students, contributing essential ideas in the field.”
