Ruler opens Sharjah Cultural Fest in Spain

UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi opened on Wednesday the Sharjah Cultural Fest in the Spanish city of Granada.

Inaugurating the events, the ruler said that the cultural approach adopted by Sharjah over the past decades played an active role in the rapprochement between the peoples and the development of relations between the countries and communities as well as in the exchange of views and approaches and to identify the treasures of knowledge of Humanity.

«We have chosen this way as a result of the awareness that the door to enter the human communities is to thrive and grow in collaboration with memory and past and this is why we intend to walk on his path always», said the Ruler He added: «We are delighted to be present with you in the city of Granada, the ancient historical place embodying great meanings …».

Later the Ruler visited a number of important facilities and historical sites in Granada including the University of Granada, Al Hamra Palace and Granada Wall built by the Arabs in the 13th and 14th centuries during the Muslim Rule in Spain.
