Women feel pain of rows more than men

It’s official – women really do get more upset than men when couples row.

Experts confirmed what men tend to suspect when their wives and girlfriends take a bust-up to heart more than they do.

The study of 142 people found women were more likely to feel emotions like sadness or guilt after an argument with their partner.

But examining how people reacted to different situations of conflict, they found men were behind most rows because they were likely to express “powerful emotions” like wrath or contempt.

Researchers from the University of Granada published their findings in the science journal Psychosocial Intervention.

The Spanish experts explained: “As society establishes certain rules on the composition of men-women relations, it also establishes some rules on how both are expected to act in certain conflictive situations.”
