Seminario impartido por Alfonso Rafael Rubio Navarro– Departamento de Bioquímica y Biología Molecular III e Inmunología -Facultad de Medicina – Universidad de Granada.
Resumen:
The talk will explore various mechanisms of cell dysfunction in Type 2 and Type 3c Diabetes Mellitus. Topics will include treatments for cardiac complications associated with Type 2 diabetes, the role of macrophages in mitigating inflammation and tissue damage across different conditions, and the impact of disorders involving extensive intravascular hemolysis on Type 2 diabetes. Additionally, using single-cell RNA sequencing, researchers have identified a unique subset of β cells with enhanced insulin secretion, which is diminished in Type 2 diabetes, providing valuable insights into β cell dysfunction.
