The World Federation of Public Health Associations is looking for an Intern for its Secretariat Office in Geneva, Switzerland.
WFPHA offers a unique environment for an internship in international health and development. Interns are given substantial responsibility for performing activities such as project management, researching and writing articles for the newsletter, establishing contacts with health and development NGOs around the world, coordinating local and international conferences, fundraising etc.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Internship is offered to graduate students with strong academic backgrounds and an interest in global public health. Applicants should possess strong written and research skills. In addition, applicants should be able to work independently and have knowledge about major issues in the field of global health.
Language skills: Preferably English native speaker; fluent in English mandatory, another language will be an asset.
Previous working experience in similar environment will be an asset.
 
MAIN DUTIES
1. Manage the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of the website and social media.
2. Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of the newsletter
3. Manage the Members and enhance membership
4. Other administrative duties
 
The internship will start in April 2013 for a period of 8 months.
Working time: 50%
Compensation: 1000 CHF/month
