Conferencia: “Philosophical Aspects of Modern Cosmology”

  • Descripción: Philosophical Aspects of Modern Cosmology is an interdisciplinary workshop which aims to present and discuss new developments concerning methodological, conceptual, epistemological and metaphysical issues in modern cosmology. Topics to be discussed are likely to include the historical role of philosophy in cosmology; conceptual problems in early universe and multiverse cosmology; philosophical aspects of quantum cosmology/gravity; critical surveys of the empirical situation; the possible local effects of cosmic expansion; and the philosophical role of alternatives to standard cosmology.
