The Center for Advancing Innovation and MedImmune have partnered to launch the Freedom from Cancer Startup Challenge (FCSC). The FCSC will feature risk mitigated, and commercially viable inventions from leading research organizations. The goal of the challenge is to accelerate and increase the volume of commercialized cancer inventions by launching new startups.  Who is Eligible?
Anyone with Entrepreneurial Spirit and a Drive to Cure Cancer!

  • Age: Team members may be under 18, if accompanied by a team member over 18
  • Team Size: No minimum team size
  • Disciplines: We recommend teams be cross-functional: business, medical/scientific, and entrepreneurial disciplines; computer science and/or engineering expertise optional
  • Recommended Team Members: Include seasoned entrepreneurs
  • Geography: There are no geographic restrictions; this challenge welcomes international participants
  • Start-up: Teams must have the intent of creating a startup through the Challenge
