To optimise the management of our assets and wealth, and find new alternative sources of funding to ensure financial sustainability

Why?

The challenges currently faced by universities as a result of increased public and private competition for resources, students and talent require optimisation and rationalisation in the use of resources, as well as the diversification and attraction of alternative sources of funding that guarantee the economic sustainability necessary to be able to carry out their basic functions with quality.

How?

By promoting an organisational culture, as well as new governance and management structures and formulas, to facilitate the attraction of alternative sources of funding through the development of teaching, research, knowledge transfer, sponsorship and dissemination activities. By improving and optimising the management of our assets, heritage and infrastructures in order to attract additional funding from a sustainable development perspective. By making use of new opportunities offered by the environment to attract resources from Spanish and European programmes targeted at digitalisation and energy transition. By rationalising the use of resources by implementing a more agile and efficient management system.

Acciones prioritarias

Explotar más intensamente nuestras instalaciones e infraestructuras científicas como vía de captación de financiación y consolidación de nuestras relaciones con el entorno socioeconómico.

Aprovechar todo el potencial de nuestras instalaciones y edificaciones para apostar decididamente por un modelo de energías renovables que nos permita alcanzar la autoeficiencia energética y el consumo cero.

Potenciar la transferencia del conocimiento de nuestros grupos de investigación para atraer financiación vía contratos de investigación, licencias y patentes.

Desarrollar un plan de marketing que ponga en valor el potencial investigador y de innovación de la institución a nivel local, nacional e internacional.

Reorientar y potenciar el programa Alumni UGR para explotar el enorme potencial que supone para la UGR sus cientos de miles de personas egresadas.

Aumentar las aportaciones procedentes de programas de mecenazgo público-privado.

Potenciar las actividades de formación y aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida convirtiendo la marca UGR en un referente nacional e internacional en la formación de posgrado.
