On the 17th of January an exciting collaboration has been signed by NGA Human Resources, market leader of global HR business solutions and the University of Granada. The collaboration has been signed by the dean Pilar Aranda, finance director of NGA HR Félix Montalbán with assistance of center lead Olga Rodríguez Galán and the vice-secretary of the UGR Inmaculada Ramos Tapias.
The technology market is of its origin a competitive market. The objective of this agreement is therefore to promote knowledge transfers in the field of innovative technology, to drive training and research on a high level.
The internship program at NGA HR has been developed to motivate students in their final year of their bachelor or masters to acquire a professional working experience. NGA HR offers two different paid internships to students of the University of Granada. Both programs are followed in the NGA office in Granada. The first internship can be followed during two months in summer. The second program takes up 6 months and can be followed at the same time as the academic course. On an annual basis NGA offers 20 internship programs with the duration of 6 months and 10 programs of 2 months. The payment will be 400-600€ per month, depending on the students profile.
Apart from this, it recognizes the participation of NGA HR professionals as invited collaborators in the Master programs of the University of Granada. The following specialized Master programs are immediately available:
- “University Master in Management and Business Processes” (which is based in the ETS of the Informatics Engineering and Telecommunications of the University of Granada.
- “University Master in Economics and Organizational Management (which is based in the faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Granada).
The collaboration also includes the start of specially designed master programs by NGA HR and the UGR. These programs will focus on competencies relevant for the HR business, such as knowledge of HRIS and the maintenance of technical infrastructures.
Another initiative is the start of a program for NGA HR employee’s based on similar courses developed by the business department of the UGR General Foundation, and a specific program for language skills given by the “Modern Languages Center” of the University of Granada.
The University of Granada has researchers of international excellence providing their services and designing a program for NGA HR in areas of preferential interest, which are developed with agreements or contracts in line of three business areas:
- Collaboration regarding artificial intelligence subjects. This includes areas, such as “Intelligent Recruiter Engine (Bringing AI to HR; Big Data and HR Analytics)”, “How to make it work internally and for customers (Service Manager Integrator)”. There will be contact with the research team SCI2S (“Soft Computing and Intelligent Information Systems”) with the code TIC-186, directed by Prof. Dr. Francisco Herrera Triguero (The Artificial Intelligence and Science Department of the University of Granada).
- Collaboration regarding software specialized in business support. This includes challenges within “Building Facilities Optimizer”, “Intelligent Resource Planner”, and others. There will be contact with the research team MYDASS (“Modelling & Development of Advanced Software Systems with the code TIC-230, directed by Prof. Dra. Mavi Hurtado Torres (The department of Computer Systems and Languages of the University of Granada).
- Collaboration regarding change management for internal innovations in the field of Human Resources. This includes challenges within “Spanish workforce delivering multilingual services – Virtual pan-European operating model”, “Knowledge and Learning management”, “Creating more value for customers from our HR data factory”, and others. There will be contact with the research team ISDE (code SEJ-481), directed by Dr. Eulogio Cordón Pozo, of the Business Organization Department of the UGR.
The agreement also offers students of the University of Granada and the participants of the international programs a communications program with professional opportunities in NGA HR. This program is directed to students who have participated in international exchange programs and international students located in Granada.
Both parties participate in the establishment of a communications program related to programs the company offers. This is to provide students internships and job offers. NGA HR will review additionally the start of an annual meeting, related to the provided subjects that will be communicated by the University of Granada.
For the implementation and control of this agreement, a monitoring committee will be constituted by six persons, three by each of the parties. The validity of this agreement is one year and will be renewed automatically, as long as there is no complaint three months before its completion.
