El Vicerrectorado de Relaciones Internacionales tiene el placer de invitar a los estudiantes de último curso y del Máster de Secundaria a la charla informativa sobre el programa «Intern Teacher Program» que tendrá lugar el próximo lunes, 19 de abril de 2010, a las 12.00 horas, en el Aula Magna de la Facultad de Medicina.
La charla la impartirá la directora del programa, Pia Accardo Higbee.
The Intern Teacher Program provides volunteer teaching assistants to serve as models of language and culture in US schools at all levels, from preschool through university.
Interns can be assigned to a school for up to 12 months. Interns assist in the classroom for up to 25 hours per week, take Personal Study Classes and live with American Host Families. Interns are here to bring their languages and cultures to life, to engage and motivate students and leave them with new confidence in their ability to communicate across borders. Interns inform and inspire, helping students better understand other parts of the world. Interns will shape the local community’s perspective on their country, its culture and people. Interns also learn about US culture and gain a deeper understanding of their own. The final goal is that Interns return home and share what they have learned and experienced with their own communities.
Any student who meets the following requirements can apply:

Students currently enrolled in higher education or recent graduates (no longer than 12 months prior to program begin date)

Students who are considering a career in teaching

Students with at least conversational English skills
-
Students who are at least 20 years old
These internships are for students who are studying to become teachers of any subjects and levels. Students studying fields such as languages, humanities, music, art, math, sciences, information technology, physical education, special education, speech therapy, counseling, educational administration, or similar programs, may apply if they have teaching career goals.
