PhD Position available in the Magnetic Soft Matter Group

Applications are invited for one PhD Position at the Magnetic Soft Matter Group (https://www.ugr.es/~msmg/) at the University of Granada (Spain) to study Magnetic Colloids in strongly confined flows at the Singular Laboratory in Advanced Technologies (Física de Fluidos No Newtonianos F2N2Lab).

This post is part of a recently funded project that aims to study the self-assembly and rheological behavior of Magnetic Colloids in microchannels with applications in environmental remediation. The candidates will collaborate and interact widely with members of the group, including experimentalists, theorists, and simulators working in the project.

We expect a highly motivated and career-oriented candidate (MSc degree) with good English skills, strong initiative and the ability to multi-task. The ideal candidate should have a background in engineering, non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, computational rheology and FEM simulation techniques. Experience in microrheology, prototype design and construction, electronics, COMSOL, Autodesk, and/or PIV is strongly preferred.

The position is currently open until filled and starting date is flexible.
