Why?
Our institution must prioritise efforts to improve its presence in the city and province of Granada as well as in Ceuta and Melilla, considering our shared awareness of the role of culture and its potential for citizenship development. With our capacity for creating and disseminating relevant knowledge, our University must commit itself to the multidisciplinary care for heritage, from buildings to knowledge. The appropriate use of these resources will facilitate the peaceful coexistence of our society and the sustainability of our surroundings.
How?
By ensuring that citizens perceive our campuses as student cities in every sense. By maintaining and reinforcing the status of the UGR as a cultural landmark in the cities where it has a presence. By undertaking top-level actions that position the UGR as a leader in cultural circuits and support its role as a generator and promoter of culture in society. By underscoring the University·s role in historical centres as a social, economic and cultural force, and by emphasising its ability to enrich daily life in its surrounding communities.
Acciones prioritarias
Promocionar el conocimiento y el aprecio por parte de la ciudadanía de los patrimonios emergentes y de los patrimonios inmateriales vinculados al ámbito universitario.
Generar redes relacionadas con el desarrollo social, económico y medioambiental sostenible y aquellas actividades que se encuentren directamente relacionadas con el mundo de la cultura, el arte o la creatividad, a través de actividades de colaboración con el entorno.
Crear foros que apuesten por la integración de iniciativas culturales de todo tipo; en especial aquellas que tengan una idea creativa basada en nuestro acervo cultural.
Visibilizar la presencia de la UGR en la ciudad a través de la señalización uniforme de los edificios universitarios en el centro histórico.
Diseñar proyectos e itinerarios museísticos como ventana al exterior que permita reconocer y reconocerse en su historia.
